King Air 100 Avionics for the new millennium.

The King Air 100, long recognized as an industry work horse has been dramatically updated to improve dispatch reliability, operational capability and flight safety with a custom avionics package by Pacific Avionics & Instruments.

Installed systems include Dual Garmin GNS 530/430 Com/Nav/GPS systems, S Tec System 65 AFCS system and Universal CVR 30B, Cockpit Voice Recorder.

Basic modifications included the removal of an existing King Silver Crown package, Collins autopilot system and much old, heavy and redundant wiring. Communications and navigation chores are now handled with a dual Garmin GNS 530/430 Com/Nav/ILS/GPS package certified for enroute, terminal and non-precision IFR GPS Approach operations.

Reduced weight, simplified system interfaces, full GPS navigation features, colour moving maps and navigation display overlays are just some of the features of this advanced Garmin avionics suite. The system is fully WAAS and Category "B" Taws upgradeable (available 4th quarter 03).

Further safety enhancement and reduced pilot work load is provided by a fully coupled S-tec System 65 Digital Autopilot system with complete integration into the Garmin avionics suite. The System 65, installation includes, Yaw Damper, Roll Steering Adapter as well as Altitude Pre-Select and Alerting features. The S-Tec System 65 system as installed provides full interface capability for all VOR/Loc/ILS and GPS approach operations including automatic arc intercepts and tracking. Roll Steering, a feature until now found only in much more expensive and heavy systems allows for seamless smooth tracking and transitions for all navigation operations.

Cockpit Voice Recorder requirements for Commercial Flight Operations are provided by the Universal CVR 30B Cockpit Voice Recorder. The CVR 30B provides digital recording, on condition maintenance and much reduced installation weight over earlier analog systems.
